This is for Christians: do you have a ministry? Or better yet, did you know that you were given, one, two or even more a ministries? Yes, you were given at least one ministry
the day you were born. In fact, all human beings were given their ministries when they were born. We were equiped for our purpose before we even knew what our purpose is. And what is our purpose? Our purpose is to rule. We all have the same purpose, but
we all have different gifts by which we will accomplish our purpose.
Jesus expects every baptized person, whom is filled with the Holy Spirit,
to not only use their gifts, He also expects them to tell others about the kingdom of God. One of the parables Jesus told was about the good man that gave money to his servants. In that parable, the good man expected a return on his money that
he gave them to invest. The good man symbolized Jesus, whom has given those in His Church spiritual gifts, which is to be used. The servant who buried his money, instead of investing it was called wicked. If you have a gift, and you don't
use it, then no one will benefit, and thereby, you have deprived someone of something that they might need.....that is tantamount to being wicked.
Preaching the kingdom
And lastly, if you're not telling people about the kingdom of God, you're not doing your part in helping to hassen the return of Jesus. Jesus said the end would come when the gospel
of the kingdom is preached to all.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony
unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.Matthew 24:14 (ASV)
So the more of God's people that is doing that, the more people will be hearing it,
and the sooner Jesus' return will be.
Read it for
yourself. How many times have you ever heard any of Jesus' parables read in Church?
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive
for himself a kingdom, and to return.
And he called ten servants of his, and gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade ye herewith till I come. Luke 19:12-13 (ASV)
And it came to pass, when he was come
back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.
And the first came before him,
saying, Lord, thy pound hath made ten pounds more.
And he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou wast found faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
And the second came, saying, Thy pound, Lord, hath made five pounds.
And he said unto him also, Be thou also over five cities.
And another came,
saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:
for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou layedst not down, and reapest that which thou
didst not sow.
He saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up that which I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow;
then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
And he said unto them that stood by,
Take away from him the pound, and give it unto him that hath the ten pounds.
And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.
I say unto you, that unto every one that
hath shall be given; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him. Luke 19:15-26 (ASV)
The above parable is about the kingdom of God and that Jesus will reward all those who were diligent in using their gifts. Their reward will be ruler ship in the kingdom of God......all the saints will
be crown kings in the kingdom of God at Jesus' return.
The faithful saints
are crowned kings
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and
received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation 20:4 (ASV)
The question is, what are you doing with the gifts that Jesus has given you? Don't be like the foolish man who didn't use his.
