What is the purpose for your existence?

You were made for the kingdom of God

Are you here just to exist,  get an education, get a job, get married and have children and then die? What does the Bible have to say about the reason for your existence? Do you care to know? Is it important to you to know? Do you know that the very message that Jesus preached have everything to do with your purpose? Rather than was time I will get to the point.

 Here's an example

 Matthew 25:1-23 (KJV)

1  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
14  For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15  And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16  Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17  And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18  But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19  After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20  And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21   His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22   He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Did you noticed that when the master returned he rewarded his faithful servants with ruler ship?.....each according to what they were given based on what they did with what they were given. They were no long servants but fellow rulers with their former master. In other words, your purpose is to rule with Jesus. If there is any doubt in your mind, Jesus came out and said it in Revelation 3.

 Revelation 3:21 (KJV)

21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Jesus in Heaven temporarily ruling on His Father's behalf, because He said He is sitting on His Father's throne. His Father's throne is not His throne. Jesus' throne will be on the Earth, and this is where He and those who have been faithful will be as well.

Jesus said the meek will inherit the Earth.

Matthew 5:5 (KJV)
5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

They will rule or reign on the Earth

Revelation 5:9-10 (KJV)
9  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Where Jesus will be is where His people will be gathered also.

Matthew 24:28 (KJV)
28  For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

The same mountain that Jesus ascended from is where He will return

Acts 1:9-11 (KJV)
9  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Zechariah 14:3-4 (KJV)
3  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Jesus set up the kingdom of God on the Earth before He left, just as Daniel prophesied.

Daniel 2:44 (KJV)
44  And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

The Roman Empire was one of the kingdoms that Daniel prophecied that was to come on the world stage. The Jewish Nation was one of the subjects of the Roman Empire.....Jesus set up the kingdom of God on the Earth during its rule. The Roman Empire was the only Empire that had several kings ruling at the same time.

But while He is away in Heaven He left His people in charge of the Earth to be busy doing His work.

Luke 19:13 (KJV)
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

The word Occupy was translated from the Greek word pragmateuomai, and means to Trade. In other words, do business. Doing business means doing work. It's not about singing hymns in a building called church. In fact, the word Church was translated from the Greek word ekklēsia and means a calling out. It was used among the Greeks of a body of citizens "gathered" to discuss the affairs of state. Jesus simply used that same word and applied it to His people/Church. They were called out from among those in the world to discuss things pertaining the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is a government, and a government's responsibility pertains to the quality of life of its citizens.

A more modern word would be Senate. What's the responsibility of a senator? The most important job of a senator is to represent the people. A senator speaks with citizens about problems, concerns or suggestions they have for their district. People elect their senators with the expectation that they will fight for legislation that is in the best interest of the average citizen. The only difference is that God's people are not elected by the people, they are chosen by God Himself.

So the responsibly that Jesus has given His people/Church is to see to the interest of the people here on Earth. Whatever is within their gifts, they are to use it for the benefit of those around them and by extension the world at large. All human beings were equipped with gifts before they are even ready to use those gifts. Our gifts are to help make this world a better place. This is why preaching the kingdom of God is so important.....people need to know who gave them their gifts, why they were given it and that if they use their gifts. They must believe it, be baptized and be taught all the things Jesus taught and preached. Then when Jesus returns, He will reward all those who were faithful in carrying out their responsibilities by make him or her king, which will allow that person to be able to do far more than what they were able to do before.

The metamorphosis you speak of won't happen in this life, it cannot. You mean a glorified body, that happens either after death or when Jesus returns.
